Hidden Embrace

ِDespite the freedoms and rights that have been recognized for sexual minorities, LGBT individuals, and other marginalized groups in many parts of the world, relationships of this nature are still seen as unforgivable taboos in many conservative societies, particularly across parts of the Middle East. In these places, governments, laws, and social structures often directly intervene to silence, criminalize, and erase such bonds. Yet desire, intimacy, and love do not disappear under pressure. They retreat into shadows. Beneath the surface of society, behind closed doors, in stolen moments, in silence, these relationships continue to exist, resisting through presence alone. In this Image, created through a combination of AI, Photoshop, and Persian calligraphy, I sought to visually express this concealed yet persistent love... a love forced into secrecy, fragmented by fear, yet still alive, intimate, defiant, and undeniably human.
