Qalam

This artwork represents one of the core styles of my works: the fusion of Persian calligraphy with portraiture. In this piece, I aimed to highlight the resemblance between the softness and elegance of Persian letters and the beauty of the human form in the simplest way possible. The piece incorporates the letters (ق ل م), forming the word "قلم" (Qalam), meaning "pen." In Persian, (Qalami) describes a slender, poised figure, which mirrors the model's physique. Calligraphy is tied to the pen, making this piece a reflection of my style: merging humanity and art. The original B&W photograph, taken by talented photographer George Mayer, features model Nadin Korobkova. I shared the first edit of this piece on Instagram, where it was well received by both the photographer and the model, which was a great honor for me. Finally, in this version, I used AI to adjust the image's texture and closed the model's eyes to enhance the emotional atmosphere, slightly deviating from the original.
