Afrasiab

Part of my "Legacy of Legends" collection, this artwork is inspired by Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh and reimagines Afrasiab not merely as the Persian arch nemesis, but as a complex monarch torn between fierce ambition and tragic hesitation. Drawing directly from the verse; (His banner is black, and black is his armor...) I rendered him atop his steed in a somber, monochrome aesthetic with subtle gold accents, shrouded in misty battlefield embers. At the base, an abstract golden calligraphy integrates his name in Persian script, blending AI ideation with digital painting and custom vector lettering in Photoshop.
