Often, the idea for a new portrait strikes me the moment I see a photograph. When I encounter a particular pose, expression, or form, my mind immediately begins to visualize a composition. Sometimes, I integrate my design directly onto the original image, and this piece is one such example. Featuring the Iranian-Russian model Polina Zakharova, captured by Iranian photographer Hamed Lava, I was instantly drawn to her unique features. I saw a certain stillness, an ethereal "nothingness" in her face, which inspired me to incorporate the Persian word "هیچ" (meaning "Nothing"). It was a true honor when Polina herself saw the piece on Instagram and appreciated my work.
