Mariana

The ocean and the underwater world have always fascinated me, filling me with both wonder and mystery. Despite all our advancements in technology and even space exploration, we still haven't fully uncovered the depths of the ocean; it's a realm of the unknown. Because of this, I wanted to create a piece that evokes the enigmatic beauty of the deep sea but in my style, through portrait design. Inspired by the concept of a mermaid, I eventually created this piece in late 2017. It was one of my earliest professional collage works using Photoshop. I named the piece after the famous Mariana Trench, the deepest point in the ocean.
