Dragonfly

This piece was originally created years ago by editing a photograph of a Russian ballerina in PS. Recently, I reworked it using AI to push it into a surreal space and create a clearer distance from the original photo, turning it into an independent visual piece. The delicate Persian and Arabic calligraphy on her body a signature element in my works, was refined into fluid, tattoo like details. My fascination with ballet is still present here, capturing that moment where the body briefly escapes gravity while remaining in full control. I expressed this by transforming the ballerina’s arms into wings. However, instead of familiar swan wings, I wanted to explore something darker, choosing wings inspired by the delicate, glass like structure of insects. This artwork was minted for event #111tez 2025 on objkt, where it was warmly received, resulting in the sale of 30 editions.
